Learning & AI knowledge systems

BriefMentor

Learn faster. Keep the knowledge useful afterwards.

A browser extension connecting learning controls, transcript capture and AI briefs with a second brain that can use what has already been learned.

THE BUSINESS NEED

Start with the work.

Useful information is easy to encounter and easy to lose. A learning tool needs to help with the material in front of the user, then make the knowledge available when it matters again.

MY APPROACH

Connect the whole journey.

I built BriefMentor to keep controls, the brief and notes beside the source. Automatic playback speeds and other controls help the user work through material, while transcript capture, AI briefs and takeaways help turn it into something usable.

HOW THE WORK CONNECTS

  1. Capture material
  2. Adjust playback
  3. Create a brief
  4. Save useful knowledge
  5. Connect it with earlier work

INSIDE THE PROJECT

The pieces that
make it work.

Playback controls

Automatic speeds and controls adapt how the user moves through learning material.

Transcript capture

Capture the source text as part of the learning workflow.

AI briefs

Turn the material into a brief with useful takeaways.

Notes beside the source

Keep the brief and personal notes in the sidebar while working through the material.

Searchable history

Return to learning material and previous briefs without starting the search again.

AI second brain

Feed saved information into a shared knowledge backend that the AI can access and connect with earlier material.

AUTOMATION & HUMAN JUDGEMENT

Useful control,
where it belongs.

The user can capture an idea without leaving what they are watching. Information also moves into the AI second brain, where the system learns from what it collects and makes that knowledge available for later work.

PROJECT SCOPE

The work connects a browser extension with a persistent AI knowledge workspace. The learning experience and the knowledge backend are parts of the same system.
