Rough estimates→visible time valueA COMPARISON TO CONSIDER
WHY START NOW?
Every delayed month repeats the same manual work.
Spreadsheets moved calculations from paper into models people could update quickly. Do the same for your automation decision: enter repetitions and time spent, then estimate what one change could give back. Use the estimate to choose a next step and measure actual time saved after adoption.
Eurostat reports that 20% of EU enterprises with at least ten employees used AI in 2025, up from 13.5% in 2024. Adoption is already under way. Eurostat, 2025 ↗
Days, weeks and months mean working time. A week is 5 working days; weekly repetitions use 52/12. Daily repetitions use your monthly hours and working-day length. Do not count the same work twice across tabs.
Net and gross conversion uses an ordinary Estonian employment model for 2026: 22% income tax, 1.6% employee unemployment contribution, and the selected pension and tax-free amount. Employer contributions default to 33.8%. Minimum liabilities, pension-age exceptions and other special cases are excluded. Enter a known total employer cost for a direct basis.
The calculation shows the potential value of all manual time entered. The portion that can actually be automated requires a workflow assessment. Released time does not automatically reduce payroll. Actual savings depend on how the time is used and which costs decrease. Software, implementation and maintenance costs have not been deducted.

Examples from our work
Hoid ja Hool
Project estimate for one person’s booking, reminder and invoice work: at least 8 h/month or 96 h/year. At an assumed €21/h the time value is €168/month and €2,016/year. Reallocating those hours to billable work at €35/h creates possible revenue of €280/month or €3,360/year. It is not profit or guaranteed extra income on top of time value.
InvoiceFlow
Project estimate: at least 23 h/month or 276 h/year. At an assumed €19/h the time value is €437/month and €5,244/year. Results depend on document volume and the previous workflow; these are not measured results for every user.
The biggest benefit may be focus.
When repetitive administration stops interrupting the day, more attention is available for customers, sales and business development. Released time creates that opportunity; additional revenue depends on demand and how you use it.

What do public cases and research show?
Reported findings and our derived calculations are separated. Vendor case studies are self-reported examples, not a promise for your business. Annualising a monthly figure assumes the same pace for 12 months. US wage examples remain in USD and are not presented as Estonian employer costs.

Zapier’s customer story reports around 2,285 automated work hours per year, equivalent to 190.4 hours per month.
Derived wage value: 2,285 × $21.97 = $50,201/year or $4,183/month. The benchmark is the US manufacturing-sector mean hourly wage for general office clerks (BLS, May 2023), not this company’s actual employer cost. Technology costs are not deducted.
A four-person SaaS team reports more than 200 automations and avoiding two additional developer hires. The source quotes $240,000 of salary value without specifying a period, so we do not turn it into monthly or annual savings.
Microsoft’s case study reports 1,200 hours per month after a 300-user Copilot rollout. Annualising that pace gives 14,400 hours, averaging 4 hours per user per month.
Derived wage value: 1,200 × $56.30 = $67,560/month and $810,720/year. We use the US computer systems design sector’s all-occupation mean hourly wage (BLS, May 2023). This is not Presidio’s measured cash saving or the wage of its specific users. Licence and training costs are excluded.
The 2023 NBER working-paper version found 14% more issues resolved per hour on average. This measures productivity, not directly saved hours. For fixed output, +14% productivity would imply about 12.3% less time in a model (1 − 1/1.14). It cannot be applied to all company hours.
Company size provides context. Work volume, the portion automated and adoption determine the outcome. These cases do not provide comparable controlled findings for every size band, so we do not interpolate promises for 10-, 50- or 100-person businesses. Wage reference years are stated; they are not current quotes.
