A PRACTICAL DECISION GUIDE

What happens when AI makes a mistake?

An AI workflow must account for incomplete and incorrect answers. Before autonomous actions, establish what is checked, when work stops and who receives exceptions.

Separate suggestions from actions

Extracting an invoice amount and making a payment have different consequences. For each step, define whether the system prepares an output, changes a record or sends something. Human approval can then be placed where it is needed.

Use ordinary software checks too

Required fields, consistent totals and duplicate detection can be checked without a language model. Confident wording does not replace validation. Failed conditions should route the work to review with an understandable reason.

Give the reviewer useful context

Show the original document, extracted information and reason for review together. InvoiceFlow uses left-hand hotkeys to help an operator review and decide quickly. The system learns from decisions, while changes in behaviour still need to be checked.

Test difficult cases before launch

Try missing fields, duplicate invoices, disconnected services and cases that should not be decided automatically. Agree who resolves an exception and how work resumes. Reliability also means that a user can see what has not been completed.
